Dr. George O. Adebanjo is the pastor and founder of The Living Word International Church of God In Christ in Nashville, TN. He is a native of Lagos, Nigeria. After completing his high school education, he traveled to Europe, Canada and the USA. He received a Stationary Engineer’s license from George Brown College in Toronto, Canada and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN.
In 1994, after 8 years of pastoral ministry, Dr. Adebanjo took a giant step of faith and walked away from a professional career in engineering to passionately pursue the call of God into a life of full-time ministry.
Shortly thereafter, he earned a master’s and doctoral degree in theology (M.Th. and Th.D.) from Andersonville Theological Seminary located in Camilla, Georgia.
Dr. Adebanjo traveled first to Pakistan in 2003 and later to India to preach and for missions. In 2005, he was consecrated as Bishop over Pakistan Jurisdiction by the Church of God In Christ, Inc. Bishop Adebanjo is the author of several books and workbooks including, Thank God for Deliverance, No Weapon Formed Shall Prevail, Strayed Dogs and Demons, The Cost of Worship, Fasting with a Purpose, Discerning Spiritual Attacks and others. He has hosted and produced several television and radio shows.
Bishop Adebanjo has a heartbeat for the nations. He is also the founder of International Outreach Ministries, Inc. and Global Community Economic Development Corporation, Inc. both are non-profit organizations which provide apostolic covering for churches in Asia and Africa, and he promotes education and economic empowerment globally. He has traveled extensively to many parts of the world maintaining a global vision in his mission to advance the gospel to the ends of the earth.
